I love Mark Hearlds work so I was thrilled to find out he has finally released a book of his work, check it out.
I pre-ordered it from Amazon a few weeks ago and am now hopping up and down waiting for it to get here!!
This a little project thats been in the pipes for months, it kept getting pushed back by lack of time, other jobs, finding a good printer, all that junk!
Anyway heres some lovely fabric I order a few weeks back...
Sorry for the slightly blur pic, my cameras packed up so am resorting to my phone which isn't great! Anyway can you guess what these are yet...
Oooh limbs, which all go together to make Little Red Fox...
Little Red Fox is digital printed on sateen fabric by the lovely people at The Fabric Press, then all sew together by me.
His little legs are movable so he can be posed if different positions. His joint are made using vintage linen buttons.
Oow kissing foxes...racy!
Little Red Fox will soon be joined by Little Flying Hare and hopefully will be ready for the christmas craft fairs. They will be appearing on my Etsy shop at some point soon. I'm hoping this is just the start on a whole collection, we'll see...must go, more foxes to stitch.
Another website project I've been working on this week, isn't it great when your ideas come out looking just how you pictured them! Am really chuffed with this one...
I have had the privilege of working closely with the lovely chaps at Victoriana Nursery Gardens for a number of years designing various bits and bobs for their site (all in exchange for plants, we have worked out a very happy bartering system which is seeing my rather large garden fill with quality veg and fruit trees).
When I was asked by Stephan and Serena whether I would provide the artwork for the revamp of their site I was only too happy...
I'm so happy with how it all came out and of course very proud to be working with such a great organisation. They have also been very nice and said some lovely things about me too(blush!).
I'm Kat and I'm an illustrator living and working in Bath in the UK. This blog is a record of my artwork, projects and anything I think is interesting, I hope you'll read a little of my ramblings!
