Add Comment Typesetting 02/28/2011
I have been meaning (like so many other things) to post about this for ages, I love typesetting stamps, I already have a few sets gleaned from various boot sales. My lovely husband brought me this set a few months back, I've only just gotten round to cleaning and organising it. The type is so small and hard to see I have trouble figuring out what some of the letters where. I'm so in love with this set, I must stop playing with it and do some work!! Selvedge Christmas Fair (belatedly!) 02/15/2011
Sorry for the lack of posts on here, what with moving house, the fair and Christmas we just don't seem to have had a quiet minuet since August! So a very over due post about the Selvedge Christmas Fair which I was preparing for in the last few posts. It all went pretty well, I managed to sell quite a few items (although next time I will take more of the flat packs and small cards than the 3D Circuses!) Unfortunately I was at deaths door when the fair rolled round, and taking so many pills to try to keep my temperature down and me conscious that its all a slight blur. It was a pretty busy day, not quite as many people as the Summer Fair but as we had had a large amount of snow less than 24 hours before hand, I'm pretty surprised anyone turned up! Here I am trying not to look too ill! It was terribly exciting and quite exhausting but I would definitely do it again if asked, everyone was very lovely and friendly, all in all a very good experience! And before I forget a huge thanks to Mum, who came with, talked to people and kept me going with tea and cake, I couldn't have done it without her!! The English Stamp Company 10/21/2010
I found this wonderful company when googling custom stamps, I have decided that I need to customise the 100 brown paper bags I have for the Fair, so was looking of somewhere that would make my Under The Stair Studios logo as a stamp. How cute is this!! I'm so, so pleased with it and for only £22.95 a bargain, I cant wait to get stamping on my bags!! Christmas Fair Prep 10/21/2010
I've been working in between other things to get enough stock together for the Selvedge Christmas Fair, I've also been thinking about how I go about displaying my little creations. We each get a table top, then its up to me to supply anything else. I'm thinking of using 2 of these old apple crates I got from a vintage garden place in Bath, I think with fairy lights and silver Christmas baubles they could look very pretty! I managed to score this bargain at the carboots a few weeks ago, for the outrageously bargainuss price of £2, ideal for putting the stall name and price list on...after a little tlc! and here it is after a lick of paint and a frame we where using in the bathroom (I need to take the picture out obviously!) not bad for £2!! Then last weekend I managed to find this cute little child's suitcase at a boot sale full of tools!! I thought it might do for displaying my Flat Packs (and if not I'm sure I can think of something else to use it for, for only £1 I couldn't leave it!!) So I think I'm nearly there with it, just need to dig my Christmas decorations out of the loft now!! Selvedge Christmas Fair 10/12/2010
I'm so excited! I have been asked by the very lovely people at Selvedge to be one of the exhibitors at their winter fair! I really am looking forward to it, now all I have to do is make some stock, design a display stand, make business cards, sort out packaging......and very soon we will be moving house. I wonder if this is what a heart attack feels like?! Christmas Stock 09/08/2010
I've been working on the christmas stock for my shops over the last few months, having to stop every now and then for other illustration jobs...oh and having to keep the house unnatural tidy while trying to sell it!! Anyway I've got them all finished and photographed so they'll be going up for sale at then end of September, which hopefully gives people long enough to make orders! Spotted 09/07/2010
While taking a look though one of my favourite online magazines I spotted one of my creations (I love when this happens!!) A New Blog!! 07/31/2010
