I shall be taking a little break from my shops and blogging, just till the beginning of June, if anyone has read our other blog Shoestring Lifestyle I'm sure you will have already listening to me moaning about the work to be done on our little cottage. As this means packing our entire studio up and sending it in storage for a month I'll be without the means to fill any shop orders. Apologise but it has to be done judging from the state our our current electrics!

Phew, just got back from the local craft fair and what a day! Despite the slight trauma of my printer breaking down middle of last week meaning I didn't have as much stuff with me as I would have like, it all went really well and I sold loads of bits!

I would loved to have taken some more bits and pices but for the bloody printer, sadly I didn't have any ready made stuff left in stock, I was pretty lucky I managed to get all these bits done before it packed up!Luckily the weather was good today so the turn out was pretty steady, the venue it was held is our local community hall and is really lovely.

So all in all a really good day, Rich and I met some great people and everyone was very friendly and complimentary! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and to fellow stall holder Maya for being generous with the Jaffa Cakes!

Plus when I got home I found I'd won some excellent boots on eBay for just £7.50, this goes some way to making up for the totally rotten week I've just had!

In between commissions and prep for the up and coming craft fair I've been building a little website for someone...

She's a very talented hair and make-up artist, check out the site, especially the gallery for some very cool pics. She also got a rather nice last name!

I'm taking part in a local craft fair at the beginning of May so I'm working like crazy to get enough stock together! I've been trying to come up with nice vintagey looking stands for displaying my cards. I'd come up with the idea of buying a very cheap cardboard stand of eBay, then covering it in brown paper and fitting it inside an old suitcase! Sounds a bit rubbish doesn't it, trust me it looks better then described...

I'm really chuffed with how this has come out, but Its was obvious that I really needed another larger version of this for the display of my Flat Packs. Of course the hardest bit has been finding another suitcase and they suddenly seem to have very popular and I refuse to pay £30 for one!

Luckily on Sunday I found a decent sized one for the bargain price of £3, it was full of tools which where for sale, the guy on the stall was rather surprised I wanted the case and not his delightful collection of spanners! 

I've ordered another card stand and am looking forward to getting it all finished so I can stop worrying about it!

I've also been working on something new for my online shop, calico hares!

These have been printed in my little studio and sew together on my vintage singer sewing machine. I have loved making these and I will have a few to sell at the Larkhall Festival on May 5th, fingers crossed people like them!
